There’s nothing sexier than a motorcycle. Well maybe someone hot on the motorcycle, otherwise known as a biker. If you’re dating a biker, you’ve hit the jackpot! You now have every reason to hit all the biker rallies. You’ll get to meet like-minded people, swig a few beers, and have a rollicking good time. So here’s a list of the best and biggest biker rallies in the U.S.
Strugis
This one is a no brainer. Everyone and their mother has heard of Sturgis, held every year in Sturgis, South Dakota. There’s something for everyone at this gigantic rally. You can look forward to drag racing, motorcycle hill climbs, live music, manufacturer displays, and custom motorcycle shows. Not to mention Mount Rushmore is a mere sixty miles away!
Daytona
This rally which is held in early March in Florida features much more than just racing. You can check out Big Daddy Rat’s Custom Chopper Show, watch coleslaw wrestling matches, (yes really coleslaw), or just hang out and enjoy the beach! With over 500,000 people attending every year, the event is bound to be huge. Within an hour’s driving distance lies the Kennedy Space Center, Walt Disney World, and Sea World.
Laconia
The other festivals might be bigger, but Laconia in New Hampshire, is one of the oldest rallies in the U.S. dating back to the 1920s. Laconia features the Biggest Beer Belly Contest, stunt riding, hill climbs, poker runs, and of course vendors galore. For history buffs, you can watch reenactments of frontier life at the French and Indian War Fort in Charlestown only 2 hours away.
Myrtle Beach
Myrtle Beach, North Carolina attracts bikers all year round with its gorgeous beaches and agreeable weather. In fact, it draws bikers and non-bikers alike. Motocross racing and poker runs are some of the events. You can also visit the Hobcaw Barony wildlife refuge or the USS North Carolina battleship.
