Or.....If you’re tired of the same old dinner and a date routine, it’s time to mix it up. The first few dates are an important time to truly get to know each other and show one another what you’re all about. Give them a glimpse into your personality with a fun and unique date that will set you apart from the masses.
Mini-golf
Miniature golf is fun and you can chat as well. If you’re a seasoned golfer, try not to totally kick your date’s butt. Instead, enjoy the kookiness of windmills and burbling streams while you’re trying to hit the ball.
Picnic
You don’t have to be a great chef to plan a picnic. A few simple sandwiches, some grilled veggies, and brownies for dessert will do. You can pick everything up readymade at the grocery store and simply arrange it in a nice basket. Don’t forget a comfortable blanket and utensils and you’ll be all set.
Go Bowling
Bowling alleys are no longer like they used to be. These days bowling alleys offer everything from bars to movie theaters. Trendy and fun they’re a great way to indulge your inner kid while still getting to know each other.
Take a pottery class
Not many manly men or prissy girls will agree to go to a pottery class, but a guy or gal who’s the life of the party and up for anything might. Their answer will certainly say a lot about them. It’s not about what you make, but what you make of your time together being silly and creative.
See a comedy show
There’s no better way to get to know someone than to find out what makes them laugh. A shared sense of humor is key in any relationship. Take your date out to see one of your favorite rising comedians and see if they laugh along with you. If they do, you may very well have a keeper. |
