Bowling Alleys
Who doesn’t like hitting throwing balls at sticks? Only boring people wouldn’t like something so festive. But this is not Fred Flintstone’s bowling alley. Today’s bowling alleys have state-of-the-art movie theaters, restaurants, and concert facilities. Here are a few of the best.
1. Brooklyn Bowl
If you love bowling, but are a food snob, Brooklyn Bowl in New York is the place to go. Sixteen lanes, a Blue Ribbon restaurant, a cocktail bar, and astage with top-of-the line acts make this a go to destination. Acts like the Cool Kids and Q-Tip have played here so if you’re a music aficionado you’re in the right spot.
2. Lucky Strike
One of the originators of the high-end bowling trend, Lucky Strike in L.A. never fails to draw in the crowds. Crowds including some of Hollywood’s stars like Jim Carrey, Robert DeNiro, Kim Kardashian, John Mayer, and more hot-to-trot celebs. These days they’ve expanded their empire across the country including Philadelphia, Boston, and Denver.
3. The Highball
Can’t decide what to do? Come visit this hipster hangout in Austin, Texas. With a bar, movie theater in front of the lanes no less, and karaoke, everyone in your group will be pleased. Make sure you check out their events schedule so you can catch one of your favorite movies, like favorite The Big Lebowski. If you’re single and ready to mingle, they host single nights too.
4. Splitsville
It’s a split, get it? OK, if not it doesn’t matter. Miami might be known for its club scene, but if you’re looking for something different, Splitsville has your name written all over it. In a good way. This is Miami after all, so it’s still just as luxurious as any other club you may visit. With thirteen lanes and built-in areas for socializing and having dinner. Plasma TVs, four bars, and a top notch menu ensure a good time.
